DestinationA smallish yet charming summer resort, situated on the Istrian peninsula between Poreč and Vrsar. It forms the most southerly part of the Poreč riviera, which is generally considered to be the most well developed tourist part of Croatia. The name of the village comes from the drinking water springs that rise up in the area. The coast is very rugged here, and fringed with romantic little islands. The whole region is very wooded, with plenty of cycling trails leading through the forests. The main tourist attractions definitely include Vrsar (approx. 3 km), Lim Bay (6 km), Poreč (7 km) and Rovinj (13 km). For entertainment you can visit the Funtana “Dinopark” or the Istralandia Aquapark (29 km). The Funtana resort naturally offers plenty of restaurants, taverns and grill-bars with local culinary specialities and a lavish range of quality Istrian wines.
